I’m Carlene Fonseca — a storyteller, speaker, recovery advocate, and the founder of The Greatest You Consulting. I help people and communities heal, rise, and reclaim their power by speaking openly about trauma, addiction, generational cycles, and the journey back to self.

As a first-generation Cape Verdean American, I’ve walked the complex road of survival, stigma, and silence — and came out transformed. From serving as the first Cape Verdean and African American woman elected in Central Falls, Rhode Island, to battling addiction and finding recovery, my story is not one of perfection — it’s one of perseverance, faith, and radical self-love.

For over a decade, I’ve worked in public service, education, and health equity. I’ve led initiatives across Rhode Island focused on youth wellness, racial equity, and recovery. Today, I speak to audiences about what it means to truly heal: not just for yourself, but for your children, your community, and the generations that come after you.

Whether I’m keynoting a conference, hosting a healing circle, or facilitating workshops rooted in the 8 Dimensions of Wellness, my goal is always the same: to spark transformation through truth, connection, and vulnerability.
